Expert insight into the current processes and priorities of the Internal Revenue Service and the Charities Bureau of the New York State Attorney General's Office, including published guidance by both offices relating to the COVID-19 crisis.

** Discussion of steps nonprofits can take to diversify their staff, boards and grantees, which satisfies the recently implemented diversity and inclusion CLE requirement.

** Important guidance on online fundraising platforms and tools (such as charity auctions and digital sweepstakes), as COVID-19 accelerates the shift to a virtual fundraising environment.

Who Should Attend: This half-day program is intended to serve both in-house and outside counsel with a well-developed background in nonprofit law, but it will also be a useful and informative session for nonprofit managers as well as lawyers who are newer to the field and seek to enhance their practice in the nonprofit sector or their participation on nonprofit boards.
