The NC Justice Center is in urgent need for pro bono attorneys, notaries, and Spanish-English interpreters to assist with completing Powers of Attorney documents for immigrants. Their goal is to give clinic attendees at risk of deportation some protection and reassurance that their US affairs will be managed if they are absent from the country

We are recruiting:
NC-licensed Attorneys
Spanish-English Interpreters (do not have to be certified interpreters)
Notaries
General Volunteers

Where:
Shallotte, NC (only about 40 minutes from Wilmington or )

Two Available Volunteer Shifts:
9am - 1pm
1pm - 5pm

Training/Support: Attorneys will receive a toolkit including training materials, forms and tips on working with interpreters prior to the event. Attorneys will also be able to ask Justice Center attorneys questions in advance and at the clinic.

Malpractice insurance will be provided for pro bono attorneys.
