The Justice & Diversity Center of The Bar Association of San Francisco (JDC) provides pro bono legal and related social services help to low-income and homeless San Francisco residents and to nonprofit organizations that serve these communities. JDC takes a holistic approach to legal services, through the use of volunteer attorneys. With trainings and support from JDC staff attorneys and social workers, attorneys, law students, social workers, and other non-attorney professionals like you can volunteer to help bridge the justice gap.
Every day, San Francisco’s most vulnerable residents turn to the Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) to overcome essential legal challenges to their safety and stability. JDC’s programs serve approximately 8,500 disadvantaged San Franciscans a year, with the overarching goal of assisting the community’s most vulnerable members with accessing the judicial system and strengthening their personal, professional, and economic security.
