The American Disabilities Act, signed into law in 1990, has made many people in this country more welcome to participate in public life. However, many myths about the act persist and it is interpreted different ways in different courts.
Jim Ward, president of ADA Watch and the National Coalition for Disability Rights, addresses some of the myths about the ADA.
