Court cases don't just exist behind the closed doors of a courtroom, they happen to real people like you and me. Even though our civil rights laws were written to benefit and protect us all, a series of cases over the past two decades have made it harder and harder to enforce our civil rights, and our federal courts are no longer places that we go to for help.
