A CHILD IN TIME

The Child Welfare League of America's timeline of child welfare in American History. Simple, straightforward, illustrative.

Starting with the first national Care of Dependent Children conference in 1909, and going through the world wars, this timeline includes the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 outlawing child labor, key events in the Child Welfare League's history, the Brown v. Board of Education ruling racial segregation unconstitutional in 1954, and many recent current events.
