SAMUEL ALITO AND THE FUTURE OF OUR SUPREME COURT

The Campaign to Restore Civil Rights is working hard to make sure our laws are in step with the country most Americans want for the future and we believe that right-wing activists like Judge Samuel Alito put our most basic rights and freedoms in jeopardy. Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, a crucial swing vote in many key cases that preserved basic rights and laws, has been replaced by this judge who, in contrast, has a long record of hostility toward established guarantees of fairness, opportunity and privacy for all Americans, including women, senior citizens, people of color, and people with disabilities.
