Public Defender Association - QLSP

The Public Defender Association (PDA) is a non-profit corporation that advocates for criminal legal system reform and develops alternatives that shift from a punishment paradigm to a system that supports individual and community health. Through the Civil Survival Project, PDA's Reentry Legal Aid Program (RLAP) assists clients to overcome reentry-related challenges created by the criminal legal system. RLAP is largely designed and implemented by people who are formerly incarcerated or have past criminal legal involvement. RLAP's primary areas of legal representation are criminal record vacates, legal financial obligation relief, vacates under State v. Blake, and registration relief for people convicted of sex offenses.
