Skagit Legal Aid staff and volunteer attorneys provide free legal assistance to financially eligible people in the greater Skagit Valley in the following areas of law:

  • Housing - Evictions, Serious Landlord-Tenant, Issues, Mobile Homes, and RVs;
  • Family Law - Dissolution of Marriage (Divorce), Parenting Plans, Child or Spousal Support;
  • Consumer Debt Issues - Medical Debt, Debt Collection, Small Claims, and Forfeitures;
  • Advanced Planning Documents - Powers of Attorney, Healthcare Directives, Wills and Estates;
  • Post Conviction Support - Waiving or Reducing Legal Financial Obligations (LFOs) and Vacating Convictions; Driver’s License Reinstatements
  • Immigration - Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Renewals and Advanced Parole;
  • Identification Document Support
  • General Civil (Non-Criminal) Legal Issues
