LASNNY is the primary provider of free legal services to low-income and needy residents of Northeastern New York. Through staff and pro bono volunteers, we provide civil legal aid to victims of domestic violence, children, the elderly, those at risk of homelessness, people with disabilities and other low income residents. Volunteers receive reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses up to $200, malpractice insurance, mentoring and other supports. The Pro Se Divorce Clinics help clients with simple divorces and are staffed by pro bono volunteers and Legal Aid staff.
