Founded in 1969, Lawyers Alliance for New York is the primary provider of free and low-cost business and transactional law services available to nonprofit and community development organizations in New York City. Lawyers Alliance provides legal services to over 700 organizations each year, ultimately bettering the lives of many thousands of low-income city residents in all five boroughs. These services are provided by a staff of thirteen attorneys and a network of over 2,000 volunteers from over 140 leading law firms and corporations.
