NYC Housing Court Volunteer Lawyers Program

The NYC Housing Court operates a Volunteer Lawyers Program designed to assist unrepresented litigants - people who represent themselves in court proceedings.

Volunteer lawyers trained by the Program provide free legal information and advice to owners and tenants who do not have attorneys.

Volunteer attorneys provide brief advice and information to self-represented litigants in NYC Housing Court. The attorneys provide assistance in one of the Civil Court's Resource Centers, situated throughout the five boroughs.
