Sanctuary for Families’ Legal Center is one of the largest providers of free legal services exclusively serving survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and other forms of gender based violence in the United States. Strongly believing in the transformative power of coordinated and holistic client-centered services, Sanctuary staff assist clients in claiming control of their lives while advocating for policy changes and raising public awareness to end all forms of gender based violence. In addition to comprehensive legal services, Sanctuary offers a wide range of clinical, residential, and economic empowerment services. Pro bono attorneys work with Sanctuary attorneys to represent clients in family law, matrimonial, public benefits, housing, immigration, and criminal advocacy matters.
Thank you for your interest in Pro Bono opportunities with Sanctuary for Families! Due to the commitment required by our clients and legal teams, as well the highly confidential aspects of our legal projects, it is rare we can utilize support of an unbarred and/or individual looking to volunteer in a legal capacity who is not connected to one of Sanctuary's law firm partners.
