The Legal Project, CDWBA

The Legal Project addresses the civil legal needs of the "working poor." At legal clinics, free advice is provided during half-hour consultations; attorneys are matched with individuals based on their practice areas. Through the Domestic Violence Legal Connection, representation is provided to domestic violence victims seeking orders of protection, divorce, custody/visitation and child support. The Affordable Housing Attorney Assistance (AHAA!) provides representation to low-income home buyers purchasing homes through qualified affordable housing programs. The Small Business Legal Network provides a legal clinic and workshops for qualifying owners of new expanding small businesses.
