MFY Legal Services Kinship Caregiver Law Project

In June 2006, MFY launched the Kinship Caregiver Law Project, an initiative to help bring greater permanency in the lives of children who are being raised by their grandparents or other relatives by connecting families that provide kinship care with pro bono private attorneys to represent them in custody, guardianship, and adoption matters. The goal of the project is to help stabilize families, promote children's security, and help prevent children from entering the foster care system.
