This CLE webinar will provide an overview of tenant rights, remedies, and eviction procedures geared towards attorneys who do not specialize in housing. It will cover tenants’ statutory rights, how to get bad conditions fixed, special protections for victims of domestic violence and other vulnerable individuals, and eviction procedures including notices tenants can expect to see, common claims and defenses, and the timeline for eviction.

  • CLE Credit Comments: Empire Justice Center has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of continuing legal education in the State of New York. This program has been approved for 1.5 CLE towards Professional Practice in accordance to the requirements of the Continued Education Board.
