Anti-Oppressive Supervision

Wednesday February 07
2024

  • By: New York State Office of Victim Services (OVS)
  • Time: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
  • Location:
    Webinar, NY

This 90-minute workshop will provide an introduction to anti-oppressive, trauma-informed supervision. Geared toward an experienced supervisory audience, it addresses the impact of oppression on the supervision space and how trauma- informed practices can offer a transformative alternative. Though many professionals understand the importance of utilizing a trauma-informed approach, this workshop contextualizes trauma and violence within a broader context of oppression and power. It will also review relevant trauma-informed tools and practices that can be incorporated into supervision.
