This webinar will cover issues that asylees face after they have received the grant of asylum, including work authorization, adjustment of status, follow-to-join family member issues, and traveling abroad. The panelists will also discuss refugee cash and medical assistance for asylees, and access to torture treatment programs. The panelists are Jennie Guilfoyle, Education and Training Attorney of the Immigration Justice Campaign at the American Immigration Council; Sarah Bronstein, Senior Attorney at Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc.; and Sarah Brenes, Director of Refugee & Immigrant Program, The Advocates for Human Rights.
