The New York Transgender Advocacy Group will be hosting a Transgender & Gender Non-Conforming (TGNC) Policy Day in Albany, NY to insure that the Governor and our legislators are prioritizing gender-based policies. Come together with TGNC individuals and allies as we advocate for policies that promote well-being, cover basic needs, and fight against
discrimination for the TGNC community.
AGENDA

LEGISLATIVE VISITS
Individuals will be broken into teams, led by a co-captain, and visit two different elected officials. The visits will give participants a chance to share your story and advocate for life-saving policies.

PRESS CONFERENCE & RALLY
Everyone will gather together to make a joint statement to the Governor and elected officials. There will be multiple speeches and opportunities to bring attention to prioritizing TGNC policies.

POLICY DISCUSSION/ROUND TABLES
Individuals will be broken into group to discuss specific policy recommendations and how collectively we can get gender-based legislation passed.

PERKS

TRANSPORTATION
NYTAG will provide free transportation to and from New York City < > Albany, NY via Charter Bus. Those who live outside of NYC will be given additional transportation options.

EDUCATION & ADVOCACY TOOLKIT Each bus will have two (2) captains who will review the policies, model how to attend a meeting with a legislation, and answer any questions.

INCENTIVES
All participants receive $20 in cash to spend on lunch, coffee, or whatever the individual prefers.
