This CLE course will provide a basic overview of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funded public, multi-family development, and Housing Choice Voucher programs.  It will specifically focus on the eviction process for each of these federally subsidized housing programs as well as the defenses that may be raised to retain affordable housing benefits for tenants who face eviction. An overview of the federal regulations, statutes and caselaw relevant to eviction actions involving HUD subsidized housing will be provided.
