For people with disabilities of any age, Supplemental Needs Trusts (SNTs) can be used to keep more income while still qualifying for Community Medicaid in New York. We’ll cover everything you need to know to help consumers enroll in pooled income trusts to shelter monthly income for Medicaid purposes. We will touch briefly on other types of SNTs and other uses for them, but this training will not cover how to draft an individual (d4a) SNT, nor how to shelter excess resources with an SNT for someone under 65.
