The Center for Migration Studies of New York (CMS) is in the process of publishing a series of papers by leading experts on the US refugee, political asylum and temporary protection programs. The series aims to offer the most comprehensive assessment of the US refugee protection system in recent years. The papers analyze different aspects of the refugee protection system, identify gaps in protection, and offer policy recommendations to strengthen the system from a protection and security standpoint. As part of its year-long 50th anniversary celebration, CMS invites you to an all-day symposium featuring panel discussions on these issues with series authors and other experts. The discussion will also attempt to put the US system in a broader international context. Full agenda and speakers list to follow.
