- Volunteer Lawyers for Justice
If you find yourself with some time on your hands, join us to take advantage of great networking opportunities, expand your knowledge of the law, and help indigent New Jersey residents who need your skills. Volunteer Lawyers for Justice, a program providing free legal assistance to those unable to afford help, is experiencing enormous growth in client need. We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with intake of new clients and case management for current clients.
VLJ staff interfaces on a daily basis with law firm and in-house attorneys, judges, Bar leaders, community leaders and government officials throughout the State. While working with us, you may network with, and be mentored by, these individuals, all of whom can be valuable contacts in your career.
For this client intake/case management opportunity, we ask that you commit to at least 3 hours per week for no less than one month. Work out of our office or at your own desk. A brief orientation session of no longer than two hours is required.
To volunteer for this opportunity, please contact Emily Kobliska at ekobliska@vljnj.org or 973-645-0055. To learn more about volunteering to handle cases on behalf of VLJ clients, or other volunteer opportunities, please visit our website at www.vljnj.org or contact Ms. Kobliska.
