Philadelphia VIP logoPlease join Philadelphia VIP for a two-part estate planning clinic for low-income Philly homeowners. Training will be provided.

The event will be held at Philadelphia VIP on two dates:

  • Tuesday, October 17 from 12:00-1:30 pm (training and client matching)
  • Tuesday, November 14 from 11:00 am-3:00 pm (document execution at VIP’s office)
How It Works

Training (Oct. 17): A brief hybrid estate planning training, after which you will receive your client’s case file. Volunteers who attend the training in-person may use VIP space to call their client and get a sense of their wishes for their estate plan. Volunteers are also welcome to use VIP space to meet clients in person.

In between the training and notarization day, you will have time to draft the documents using VIP’s estate planning resources. This time will also give clients a chance to consult with family members and be sure of their decisions.

Signing Day (Nov. 14): You’ll meet your client at VIP to execute the estate planning documents in front of a notary and witnesses.

Volunteers should plan to commit to both meetings. Attorneys and other legal volunteers are welcome, but non-attorneys must bring a Pennsylvania attorney who will supervise their work.

Please Register by October 10 to participate. Contact Vijaya Singh with questions.
