The Wage Theft Clinic is a partnership between the Attorney General, legal services and community organizations, Private Bar attorneys, and the Boston Bar Association. At the clinic, the Attorney General’s Office matches workers with attorneys who can help them recover wrongfully withheld wages. Attorneys provide brief service at the clinic and may provide fee-generating representation to attendees after the clinic. If a worker prevails against an employer in court, state law mandates triple damages, attorney fees, and court costs to be paid by the employer.

This training will cover the fundamentals of Massachusetts wage and hour law and will enable Private Bar attorneys to volunteer at the Wage Theft Clinic and help advocate for workers.
