UF Law Pro Bono Week: "The Role of Pro Bono and Public Interest Attorneys in Addressing Pressing Social and Legal Challenges”

Join us in participating in National Pro Bono Week, an annual celebration that honors the valuable pro bono contributions of the legal community and seeks to inspire greater service to increase access to justice for all. Students are encouraged to participate in one of the weeks series of activities and learn about how pro bono service can benefit you and your community.

Students are invited to attend The Role of Pro Bono and Public Interest Attorneys in Addressing Pressing Social and Legal Challenges on Tuesday, October 24th at 12:00 pm. Guest speakers will include Reina Saco, a 2017 Equal Justice Works Fellow; Simone Chriss, Attorney at Law at Southern Legal Counsel; Stacey Steinberg, Associate Director of the UF Law Center on Children and Families and Pro Bono Attorney ad Litem; Germese Gee, Pro Bono Immigration Law Attorney; and Eric Neiberger, former Federal Civil Rights litigator. Lunch will be provided courtesy of the Student Bar Association.

UF Law Pro Bono Week is co-sponsored by the Student Bar Association in collaboration with the Association for Public Interest Law (APIL), the Black Law Students Association (BLSA), the Caribbean Law Student Association (CaribLaw),UF Law Alternative Spring Break (UF Law ASB), the National Lawyers Guild UF Chapter, and the Immigration Law Association (ILA), the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL).
