This training will provide basic information on fulfilling the requirements of attorney appointments through the Oakland County Probate Court. Topics of discussion will include: an overview of guardianships and conservatorships, duties of defense attorneys and guardians ad litem, the appointment process, the mental health hearing process, assessment guidelines, working with mental health services and providers, and practical practice tips.
