LawNY and GRAWA are sponsoring a CLE that will provide training for attorneys, law students, and non-attorneys on legal issues concerning child support. This will include an overview of the Family Court Act, a review of the legal basis for requesting downward modifications, the procedure to cap child support arrears, and special considerations for attorneys working on child support cases for veterans.
- CLE Credit Comments: This is a free CLE, which will provide 1 CLE credit in Skill and 1 CLE credit in Professional Practice. In exchange for receiving free CLE credits, attorneys will be asked to volunteer for a Child Support Clinic at the Canandaigua VA or with Valor Day in Rochester. The Child Support Clinics will be on June 13 or July 6. Valor Day will be October 25.
