Please join the Region 2 National Preparedness Division for a webinar on civil rights considerations, before, during, and after emergencies.
The webinar will discuss the roles and responsibilities of FEMA and state and local emergency managers in terms of civil rights laws and how they apply to emergencies. This webinar will define vulnerable populations, individual rights and the type of emergencies that impacts this group more severely. NYC Emergency Management will discuss examples of impacts on vulnerable populations from emergencies and lessons learned. By the end of this webinar, you will know how to plan inclusively for all vulnerable population, how to work with partners in the community and resources available.
