The Practising Law Institute is offering a free webcast of a live training event from New York entitled Addressing Domestic Violence Across Practice Areas 2016 on February 5, 2016 from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm Eastern.

This program will explore the legal and practical challenges of representing victims of domestic violence.  Experienced practitioners in the law and in social or counseling services will share their practical strategies for addressing common challenges across disciplines, and while these tips are certain to help advocates improve legal representation for domestic violence victims, the practical insights that will be shared can be useful to legal practitioners, advocates and service providers in a variety of practice areas.

Who Should Attend

This program is designed for New York State judges, court attorneys, law clerks, government lawyers, and attorneys in private or public interest practice interested in learning about the problem of domestic violence and strategies for dealing with litigation challenges.
