The Immigration Advocates Network invites you to a FREE webinar, "Children's Asylum: Legal Theories and Volunteer Opportunities," on Thursday, September 17th. This webinar will cover political asylum for children, with a focus on unaccompanied children from Central America. The panelists will give a brief overview, then discuss asylum legal theories and arguments on behalf of children. They will also identify resources and opportunities to volunteer.
The panelists are:
- Eunice Lee and Blaine Bookey, Co-Legal Directors, Center for Gender & Refugee Studies;
- Susan Timmons, Associate Director, Practice and Professionalism Center, American Immigration Lawyers Association;
- Meredith Linsky, Director, American Bar Association Commission on Immigration; and
- Abigail Krusemark, Immigrant Youth Resources Coordinator, Immigration Advocates Network.
