The faculty will review and discuss the paralegal's role with regard to key legal and factual issues, forms, and spotting potential concerns; all within a program focusing on H-1B visas, L visas, PERM, adjustment of status vs. consular processing, marriage-based immigrant petitions, I-601/I-601A waivers, asylum and removal, applications for citizenship or naturalization, and ethics. The conference includes panel discussions of cutting-edge topics like Executive Action, H-4 work authorization, L-1B specialized knowledge, and when to file an amended H-1B visa petition. There will also be an open Q&A period following each session. Practicums will follow the majority of panels to offer practice pointers and give a detailed review of completing forms.
