Effective with residential mortgage loan applications submitted on August 1, 2015, lenders must use the new TILA - RESPA loan disclosures that will replace the Good Faith Estimate, the preliminary and final Truth in Lending Disclosures, and the HUD-1 Settlement Statement. Familiarity with these new disclosure documents and substantive changes to some of the tolerance levels is essential to enable your organization to provide effective pre-purchase counseling, conduct lending investigations, and educate consumers regarding these changes.
