Advocates representing widows or widowers that were left off of a reverse mortgage loan taken out by their spouses have been struggling to keep foreclosure at bay. This webinar will provide background information key to representing reverse mortgage spouses, give an update on the status of the AARP litigation, and explain the details of the Mortgagee Optional Election and the Hold Election. We will also discuss the litigation options in these cases, including crafting pleadings, choice of forum, injunctive relief, and settlement options that keep seniors in their homes.
