This webinar will highlight special considerations in LGBT immigration. We will focus on topics such as marriage-based petitions involving same-sex binational couples; asylum and related protections when persecution was based on gender identity or sexual orientation, and other benefits such as U and T visas. We will discuss special considerations for transgender individuals in all of these contexts and focus on cultural competency for legal practitioners working with LGBT immigrants.
