Join language access experts and key stakeholders on Thursday, March 26, 2015 as they discuss access to justice for Limited English Proficient (LEP) and Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) litigants. This seminar will provide comprehensive, yet practical, information to attorneys and judges on the professionalism and ethical considerations raised in connection with ensuring meaningful language access in Georgia courts. CLE and ICJE credits will be applied for, including professionalism and ethics credits.
Seminar highlights include a welcome by the Hon. Hugh Thompson, Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Georgia, a stakeholders panel moderated by the Hon. Christopher J. McFadden, Judge, Georgia Court of Appeals / Vice Chair, Supreme Court of Georgia Commission on Interpreters and a keynote address by the Hon. Keith Blackwell, Justice, Supreme Court of Georgia / Chair, Supreme Court of Georgia Commission on Interpreters.
This seminar is FREE to attendees. If CLE credit is desired, you may self report CLE hours and pay just $5/credit hour for general hours and $15 for the one included hour of Professionalism.
