FHA Loan Underwriting and Origination Abuses At this training we will: review the underwriting guidelines for FHA-insured loans, including what documents are required to qualify for an FHA-insured loan; explain how the FHA insurance fund works; and explore how lenders become FHA- accredited lenders. We will also discuss some of the most common abuses in FHA loan underwriting and the lenders that have had their FHA origination revoked (and why). Lastly, we will cover legal defenses related to FHA loan origination and the possibility of bringing related Qi Tam (False Claims Act) claims.
