The Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF) is seeking volunteer attorneys to monitor the November 4th elections for compliance with the federal Voting Rights Act and to document instances of anti-Asian voter disenfranchisement. Our Asian American Election Protection and Poll Monitoring Project will be conducted in:
- Washington, D.C.
- Georgia
- Louisiana
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- Michigan
- Nevada
- New Jersey
- New York
- Pennsylvania
- Texas
- Virginia
Attorneys with bilingual ability in an Asian language are especially helpful, but not required.
See below for more information and a complete list of all the training dates. There will be a 90-minute training session for all volunteers. (Attorneys can receive 1.5 CLE credits including 0.5 ethics credit.) Sessions are available across the country throughout October. Advanced registration is required so sign up online!
