Litigating the Multiple-Plaintiff and Class Action Case: Intake Through Disposition
This program will focus on handling of multiple-plaintiff and class action cases from the pre-litigation stage of client intake and information gathering through the complaint drafting, the conduct of written and deposition discovery, and preparation for the trial. The presentation will also cover the topic of ADR, including the processes of mediating or arbitrating multiple- plaintiff cases.
CLE FACULTY - PRESENTER:
John Hermina ('87), Partner, Hermina Law Group
John Hermina is a partner at the Metropolitan Washington firm of the Hermina Law Group, which handles multiple-plaintiff and class action employment discrimination and consumer frauds, litigation and international law. He is the former Vice Chairman of the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights (2003- 2011). He is admitted to practice in New York, Washington, DC, Maryland and Pennsylvania, before several federal appellate circuits and in the United States Supreme Court. He has participated in several Rule of Law efforts, and, most recently, he served as the resident ABA Rule of Law Liaison to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
