This training session is intended to prepare pro bono attorneys who have more advanced issues in their cases than the general asylum claim. Topics include immigration court procedures, bars to asylum, appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals, and alternative forms of fear-based immigration relief, such as withholding of removal and protection under the Convention Against Torture. The faculty will include experienced practitioners and immigration judges.

This training is appropriate for attorneys, paralegals, and law students. Attorneys must be admitted to practice in some U.S. jurisdiction and have their own malpractice insurance.

Fee is $25 for attorneys and $15 for paralegals.
