Why you should attend
This year's program will examine key immigration trends and hot topics for 2011. You will hear from Washington insiders about what is likely to happen with immigration legislation this session. What immigration initiatives will we see from Congress, particularly the new Republican House? Will piecemeal efforts include increased enforcement or increased visa numbers? Will the Dream Act pass or will E-Verify become mandatory? How will efforts of restrictionists in Congress affect adjudications at USCIS, DOL and consulates? What can employers expect with regard to H-1B cap filings for FY 12-13, and when will a new pre-registration system take effect? What other processing changes are in the works as USCIS implements its "VIBE" system and moves to account-based filings? What is DOL looking for when imposing supervised recruitment? How has immigration enforcement evolved, and where is it heading?

Join us at this year's Institute to hear an outstanding faculty of top level government officials, along with leading practitioners in the field, discuss recent reforms and developments that impact your practice. Topics will include new immigration initiatives in Washington and around the country, immigrant and nonimmigrant processing issues and new laws and policies related to enforcement.
