This 60 minute webinar will look at how legal services organizations are leveraging technology to serve Limited English Proficiency (LEP) communities. Illinois Legal Aid Online will discuss their TIG-funded project to use both human and machine translations online, and LawHelp/NY will discuss how it is using social media and SEO campaigns to increase the impact of their Spanish language online legal resources. In addition, Claudia Johnson will give an overview of a diverse group of online tools in use in other states, including online forms, web chat, multimedia content, LEP self-help centers, and holistic websites currently being used in other fields to serve LEP communities.
