When Strategies Collide: The Intersection of Domestic Violence with Multiple Legal Practices

We will explore the challenges practitioners face in representing domestic violence survivors when other legal practices are implicated, including the role of Alternative Dispute Resolution, the presence of child welfare proceedings, and immigration issues. In addition, we will examine legislative highlights during the past year.

CONFERENCE TIME AND FEES: February 28, 2011, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and March 1, 2011, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. in the Fordham Law School McNally Amphitheatre. The registration fee is $90 for one day of the conference and $145 for both days.

  • CLE Credit Comments: This two-day conference is appropriate for newly admitted and experienced attorneys and is approved for a maximum of 12 transitional and non-transitional credit hours according to the following allocation: Day 1 February 28: 2 skills, 1.5 ethics, and 2.5 professional practice; Day 2 March 1: 1 skills, 0.5 ethics, and 4.5 professional practice; Days 1 & 2 February 28 - March 1: 3 skills, 2 ethics, and 7 professional practice. This CLE credit allocation is approved in accordance with the requirements of the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board.
