New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) is offering a free training for pro bono attorneys on representing low-income clients in uncontested divorces. The topics of residency requirements, venue, service, confidentiality concerns when domestic violence is involved, as well as other substantive legal and procedural issues will be covered. Sample pleadings and other relevant documents will be provided, and special attention will be given to New York's new no-fault divorce statute.
