PLI is pleased to present this half-day Domestic Violence program in collaboration with The State Bar of California, the Public Interest Clearinghouse and the Pro Bono Summit Working Groups.
Millions of Californians are unrepresented in Family Court matters. Low-income clients are in desperate need of your pro bono help. Attend this free PLI program, Protecting Domestic Violence Survivors and Their Children Part II on how to obtain safe custody/visitation orders and volunteer with your local legal services agency to represent domestic violence survivors in need. With a limited time commitment, you can help obtain essential legal protections needed for survivors and their children to build a safe life free of abuse!
This is the second session in a two-part series that provides a basic introduction to child custody and visitation law in domestic violence cases; overview of child development and how to develop safe specific and appropriate child custody and visitation orders in cases involving domestic violence; and the process and procedure to obtaining safe child custody and visitation orders. You learn from experts in the field how to represent low-income Californians in restraining order actions involving children.
