This conference will provide an introduction to the key issues which are encountered when preparing or defending a family law case involving a current or former member of the US Armed Forces. The seminar will provide participants with basic knowledge and facts about military law and procedures such as support and benefits. It will address the challenging issues of jurisdiction over service members, service of process and other matters fundamental to starting and completing a family law case when both of the litigants have significant connection to the US military, current or past.
