As baby boomers begin turning 65 in 2011, the number of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) seniors contacting civil legal services programs for advice and assistance with elder law problems is expected to increase significantly.

This CLE uses a training curricula entitled "Training to Serve" designed to enhance knowledge and skills for professionals working with gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) elders. It was developed, in part, by the Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging.

What will I learn? You will learn about unique issues and challenges faced by GLBT seniors, helping you to identify and eliminate biases based on age or sexual orientation from an elder law practice.

  • CLE Credit Comments: 4.00 hours of "elimination of bias" CLE credit will be applied for.
