Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta matches transactional lawyers with non-profits in need of free legal advice. No courtroom appearances required! Clients are community-based non-profit organizations that operate programs or activities that benefiting low-income individuals. Typical areas of advice and counsel include corporate governance; contracts and leases; intellectual property; real estate; employment; tax; and mergers. Participants will receive information on the nonprofit incorporation process and the application for 501(c)(3) tax-exemption as well as a general overview of operational legal issues for non-profits.
