TRAINING ON CPLR ARTICLE 12 GUARDIANS AD LITEM

MFY Legal Services provides legal services to poor and low-income persons in, among other areas, eviction prevention and other housing matters. Many of our clients are elderly and disabled, frequently requiring the assistance of CPLR Article 12 guardians ad litem. This training will address when the appointment is appropriate, the procedure involved, powers and duties, court oversight, and other matters. This training is appropriate for both transitional and non-transitional attorneys.

This free training will be held on March 24, 2009 from 6-7 p.m. at the offices of Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP , 1133 Avenue of the Americas (between 43rd and 44th Streets) New York, NY 10007.

Please arrive at 5:45 p.m. to register so we may begin promptly at 6 p.m.
