This training, held in Albany on March 18-20, 2009, is designed for those attorneys who are committed to representing victims of domestic violence.

We are fortunate to have funding from the NYS Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence for the fifth consecutive year, enabling the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York and Albany Law School to offer this training at no cost to the participants.

The trial skills training has received rave reviews from former participants, and we hope this year will be even better. If you (or your supervisor) are questioning whether it is worth your time and travel expense to Albany, please talk to your colleagues who have attended this training in the past

See attached flyer for details. Please contact Gerri Pomerantz for applications and more information. Please note that applications are due back no later than January 31, 2009. In the past, several people have been closed out of this training, as it is limited to 20 participants.

Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received, based upon screening criteria. All applicants will be notified of selection decisions on or around February 8th, 2009.
